ECOWEEK is an international NGO with the mission to raise environmental awareness and to promote sustainability. ECOWEEK is active in Europe and the Middle East, where it organizes events and activity for young & established professionals, students, and the general public, featuring award-winning documentaries, workshops and lectures. ECOWEEK has hosted in the past lectures by Nobel Laureate Al Gore, environmental expert David W. Orr (Oberlin College), architects Shigeru Ban, Bjarke Ingels (BIG), Ken Yeang, Diebedo Francis Kere, Francoise-Helene Jourda, and more! ECOWEEK promotes intercultural dialogue, co-operation, the brainstorming and sharing of ideas, 'green' design and innovation, and environmental and social entrepreneurship. ECOWEEK is 'one of the most exciting programs in Europe today' (ECOWEEK 2011 young professional participant). ECOWEEK conferences and workshops have been taking place in cities around Europe and the Middle East since 2008. ECOWEEK WORKSHOP THEMES include: new passive solar zero emissions buildings, retrofits of existing buildings, urban or landscape design interventions inside the city, social interventions in a community, and combining design and technology in buildings. This is THE gathering for young architects, landscape architects, designers, professioinals and students to share ideas, brainstorm, and design 'green' buildings. Registration is OPEN!

Join us in ECOWEEK 2012 in Israel and Palestine (West Bank), on February 26 - March 2, 2012 for a week on urban communities, affordable living and 'green' design'! Some projects are real projects and we also plan at least one workshop to go to site for hands-on light construction! Green' design lectures, keynote speakers by local and international experts.
